What to tell us
The more we know, the faster a contractor can give you a useful quote:
- Your suburb and street.
- What you want done: removal, stump grinding, stump removal, palm or bamboo work.
- Roughly how tall the tree is and what is underneath or near it, such as a roof, fence, pool or power line.
- How a crew would get in: driveway, side gate width, laneway or steps.
- Whether you know of any overlay, heritage listing or council permit that applies.
- Photos from a couple of angles, if you can.
What happens next
A local contractor contacts you to arrange a time to look at the job. They will check the tree and the access, point out any permit question, and give you a written quote. There is no charge for the quote and no obligation to accept it.
Before the visit
If you can, clear cars, trailers and outdoor furniture away from the tree and the access path before the contractor arrives, and let your neighbours know if the tree overhangs their property. If you already know that your property sits in a heritage precinct or under a vegetation overlay, say so, because it may change what can be quoted.
